So now I am working on text effects. This is really awesome because this is what I wanted to do the most. I am starting by making a fire themed text. This is using a tutorial, and so far it has been hard. Im not sure if he is using a different version of photoshop, bu he does alot of things that don't work for me. For example, he made the letters individual using the marquee tool. Well when that didn't work, I used the magnetic lasso tool and it worked perfectly. I used multiple effects like stroke, satin, drop shadow, and more to make the effect you see on the top. Next I used the liquify tool in the filter toolbar. That is how I made the original text look fiery. Then I added the green channel from a picture of flames to each letter. Then I erased the excess fire so it fit to each letter. Then I duplicate the fire for each layer, put the opacity for the original fire to 30%, and blend the new layer in overlay mode.
