glow effects
So I was assigned to remake an awful fun run poster design. It took about 3 hours. The hard part was everytime I wanted to make a change in the "Glow Run & Walk 5k/1k", I had to redo it from scratch. This was because the type layer was rasterized so I couldn't edit it. The glow effect was from a tutorial that used the cloud rendering in Photoshop filters. The tutorial used a black background to blend the glow effect, and because I had to use a black background, I messed around with blending options to create the black around the letters.
This shoe took me about a week just because I had to stop in between to do the glow poster. I made it by duplicating each piece of the back and stretching it way back. Then i painted on a mask layer with downloaded splatter brushes.
I made this fish bulb here to the left. It has the bulb layer (with a mask to remove the innards of the bulb), a base horizontal water, the fish (there were ten fish so I used a mask to remove them), the splash water, the fake shadow, and the fake reflection. Both layers of water had masks so the water looks like it's inside the bulb.
