Text masks
So this is like the one I did of myself but this time I used the original picture so it's not pixelated. I also added the JK by making the J white and using the galaxy clipping mask for the K
I made this first by having all the letters on separate layers. While on a layer that has the character, I control clicked the letter and added a mask on the character. Then I painted white so some parts came out of the letters.
This is a white rectangle with about 80% opacity. You have to rasterize the rectangle to cut out the letters.
This is my favorite photoshop creation this year. I spent about an hour and 20 minutes on it. The hardest part was trying to put a version of mario in without the letter cutting out parts of mario's face. I REALLY like how it came out and I ended up making it into a shirt.
