splash & splatter

So illustrator was a pain. It was partly because I am new to illustrator, and partly because the tutorial was using an older version. I couldn't do all the steps he did because when I did them, it would do something totally different due to the difference in versions. I'm glad I got to make something in illustrator, but I hope I don't have to again. Just kidding. It wasn't that bad. Maybe I need to learn more about illustrator.

So i saw this simple water dispersion effect tutorial online. So what it entailed was having a picture of an apple, and a picture of a water splash. Then I erased part of the apple so that the water looked natural. Then I warped the water so it fit to the apple. I erased some of the water on the edges because the shadows didn't look right. Lastly, I added hue/saturation modifications so they were the same bright green color.

This thing to the right was a very similar process as the apple. It's just two warped water objects and then a water swirl in middle. It's kind of artistic I guess.

This sunset picture to the left is a clipping mask splatter paint project. It was not as easy as it looks. But I think it turned out good.
