CREATING A PICTURE

WITH WORDS

I made the background for this page. The cut out skateboarder has a gradient overlay. The gradient background and clouds were from the shoe project that I did. I'm not sure where I got the idea to make this but I really do like it.

This splatter paint portrait was fun to make. The mountain picture is in the background and as a clipping mask over the girl. I used a black layer mask on the background with white brushes to reveal the mountains. I used a white layer mask on the girl with black brushes  to splatter the mountains on her.

This chili pepper photo manipulation was one of my favorite things to make. I made it using a picture of a pepper and a red ink splat picture. This was from a tutorial. I warped the ink onto the pepper. With mask layers I blended the ink and the pepper. I spent more time on it than the tutorial because i thought it still needed to blend more. So I made the ink slightly more red so it matched

I used some splatter brushes to make this cardinal. I didn't get this from a tutorial or anything. I just had an idea for a bird flying away and the particles flying off of it.

So I did see the thumbnail on a video for this idea of photo manipulation. So I had to find a good quote. I thought this was a great quote by Bob Marley. The picture of Bob is in the background and is a clipping mask on the text. I cut the background off once it got to the letters. Some of the key words like "Love Rain" larger to put emphasis. I used the splatter brushes to blend out his hair. If I were to make another picture like this, I would use a quote that has fewer words.
